Gov.Oyebanji’s “Ojuse BAO Initiative” Marks One-Year Milestone, Empowers Another Batch of 56 Indigent Residents

EKiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has celebrated the one-year anniversary of his transformative “Ojuse BAO Initiative” by uplifting the lives of 56 indigent individuals, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening a more inclusive and equitable society.

In an emotional gesture of solidarity and support, representatives of the Governor distributed cash and essential tools to the beneficiaries, symbolizing the Governor’s unwavering dedication to creating opportunities for all citizens to prosper regardless of their socio-economic or ethnic background.

Mrs. Sola Abe, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, emphasized the Governor’s vision of building a society where every individual has the chance to thrive,symbolizing the pivotal role of empowering the less privileged in advancing social cohesion and reducing crime rates.

She reiterated the over 150 lives have been touched since inception not to mention thousands of residents comprising the aged, vulnerable and petty traders who got Christmas package and cash to aid their business last year.

BENEFICIARIES OF SCHOOL FEES AND START-UPS PRESENTED CHEQUES DURING THE EVENT.

She maintained that the governor is poised at transforming more lives with the gesture with a charge to beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity.

Rt.Hon.Taiwo Olatunbosun, Commissioner for Information, lauded Governor Oyebanji’s steadfast commitment to assisting the most vulnerable members of society through the monthly empowerment program, hailing it as a beacon of hope for those in need.

Encouraging the beneficiaries to seize the opportunity with determination and diligence,Rt.Hon. Olatunbosun urged them to become shining examples of the Governor’s ethos of compassion and empowerment.

The director general community communications in the state Mrs. Mary Oso Omotoso who also formed part of the special guest at the event urged them to make use of the largesse of the governor accordingly and not see it as “National Cake” rather an opportunity to develop stressing that resources for the initiative is financed from the Governor’s personal salary.

With over 56 individuals benefiting from cash gifts, work tools to clearing of health bills and school fee assistance, the “Ojuse BAO Initiative” continues to serve as a testament to Governor Oyebanji’s unwavering dedication to uplifting the lives of the less fortunate and building a brighter future for all residents of Ekiti State.
