Ekiti State Flyover Project: Gov.Oyebanji Kicks Off Compensation Disbursement

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has initiated the disbursement of compensation to property owners affected by the construction of the Okeyinmi Flyover Bridge in Ado-Ekiti, affirming a commitment to fairness and justice in the compensation process.

Addressing the public in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, Governor Oyebanji assured prompt compensation to all legitimate land and property owners impacted by the demolition exercise for the flyover project, emphasizing inclusivity and transparency in the process.

Speaking at the event, Governor Oyebanji, represented by Deputy Governor Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, emphasized the project’s significance in enhancing the state’s infrastructure landscape and strengthen economic growth. He emphasized the administration’s dedication to transforming Ado-Ekiti into a hub of modern infrastructure, conducive for businesses and investments, positioning it as a model capital city.

Highlighting the project’s potential to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance economic activities, the Governor reiterated his administration’s resolve to expedite its completion alongside other critical road construction initiatives aimed at enhancing accessibility and driving economic opportunities across the state.

Furthermore, Special Adviser on Land Matters, Mr. Akintobi Olusanmi, emphasized the project’s alignment with Ekiti’s broader infrastructural and industrial development agenda, ensuring swift compensation to affected property owners. He stressed the prioritization of the project and adherence to regulatory requirements, including the provision of National Identification Numbers (NINs) for qualified beneficiaries, signifying the administration’s commitment to improving livelihoods and prosperity for all citizens.
