Ekiti State Boosts Security Efforts with Purchase of 30 Vehicles from Local Dealers

In a move aimed at enhancing security measures and safeguarding residents, Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, received a fleet of 30 Toyota Tacoma Pick-up Vans on Tuesday.

The vehicles, sourced from local motor dealers within the state, are set to enhance the operations of the Western Nigeria Security Network, popularly known as the “Amotekun Corps” in the state.

Governor Oyebanji, represented by his Deputy Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye emphasized the importance of proactive measures in addressing security challenges, particularly in combating threats posed by criminal elements seeking to disrupt the peace and stability of the state.

The acquisition of the vehicles signified the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.

By procuring vehicles from local dealers, the Ekiti State Government not only strengthens security infrastructure but also stimulates economic growth within the community.

This initiative emphasizes the significance of leveraging local resources to address pressing issues and foster sustainable development.

The deployment of the vehicles to the Amotekun Corps signifies a collaborative effort between government and grassroots stakeholders to tackle insecurity effectively.
