Gov. Oyebanji Leads Government Delegation in Condolence Visit to Late Ekiti APC Chairman’s Family

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, alongside top government officials, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti state, Barrister Paul Omotosho, at his country home in Imesi Ekiti.

Arriving at the family residence around 3:00 pm, Governor Oyebanji was accompanied by Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye; Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt Hon Adeoye Aribasoye; Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani; Commissioner for Information, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun, and Special Adviser on Political and Inter-Party Matters, Chief Jide Awe, among others.

The delegation was warmly received by the widows, children, relatives, and political associates of the late politician.

Governor Oyebanji hailed the late party chairman as an exemplar of loyalty, emphasizing that the APC had lost a significant asset and a crucial stabilizer of the party. He praised the legacies of the late Chairman, which he described as a model in reshaping political ideology in the country.

 

Describing the late rOmotosho as a man of integrity who never compromised on truth and honesty in his political endeavors, Governor Oyebanji highlighted the deceased’s pivotal role in ensuring continuity in the state’s governance. He lamented the great void left within the APC in the state and the nation at large by his demise.

Assuring the family of the state government’s support in organizing a fitting burial for the deceased, Governor Oyebanji pledged to immortalize Omotosho in recognition of his remarkable service to the state and humanity.

“It is a profound loss to our party, the Government, and the people of Ekiti State. The departed Chairman epitomized loyalty and oversaw a back-to-back transition program, a first in the history of the state. We will deliberate on how to honor his memory both as a party and as a government,” stated the Governor.

Prior to the visit, Governor Oyebanji also extended condolences to the palace of the Onimesi of Imesi Ekiti, Oba Olatunji Olatunde, and the people of the town, acknowledging the late Omotosho’s prominent leadership role in the community.
