The leadership of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Sophia Ajayi Regional Choir has held her first quarter meeting at the CAC Regional Headquarters in Ogba-Alafia, Ado Ekiti with a call on members to remain steadfast in the things of the Lord.
Presided over by the Regional Choirmaster, Elder Gbenga Agbeti, the assembly brought together Choir leaders from District Coordinating Councils (DCCs), Zones, Districts, and Assemblies across the region, commencing with a prayer for spiritual fortitude in their divine endeavors.
The leaders also expressed appreciation for the dedicated service of music department leaders.
During the meeting, pivotal decisions were made, including the endorsement of a series of events for 2024.
The activities according to the Regional Choir Publicity Secretary 1 Mr.Segun Adebayo would include a Leadership Seminar on April 13th, 2024; the International Music Ministers Conference scheduled for July 23rd to 26th, 2024; the Regional Community Hymn Singing on August 25th, 2024; and both the National and Regional Carol Services on December 13th and December 22nd, 2024, respectively.
Notably, members lauded the upcoming Regional Choir Seminar set for April 13th, 2024, which promises in-depth training on musical fundamentals, including sight-reading, emphasizing its significance with preparations already underway for widespread member participation.
The meeting also included a review of the previous year’s Regional Choir Activities report, presented by Dr. Adaramoye Toyin, the Regional Choir Secretary.
